The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies into the community.
SASSA will be rendering expert services for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In an announcement, the agency stated it can be alarmed about the significant amount of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The goal of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a high variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is certainly due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no absolutely functional office committed to service the area every day. The service place designed for intervention experiences a significant influx of potential beneficiaries, that makes it tough for the Workplace to attend to all people who check out a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more sources to allow the servicing of all customers and increase usage of Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
